The Spring 2015 B.F.A. Thesis Exhibitions run from April 23-May 16 at the Schneider Hall Galleries on the Belknap Campus and from April 24-May 16 at the Cressman Center for Visual Arts, 100 E. Main St.

The following students will display their artwork at Schneider Hall: William Beasley, Tess Lindsey, Katlyn Brumfield, Whitney Olsen, Renae Osman, Sasha Perez, Sarah Reasor, Allison Reynolds, Luke Seward, Carolyn Spears, Shelby Stafford, Ashli State and Kevin Warth.

At Cressman Center, the student exhibitors include: Taylor Beisler Coomer, Julia Burton, Jake Ford, Eric Francke, Elizabeth Heustis, Elizabeth Middendorf, Caitlin Morton, Devon Murphy, SaraBeth Post, Amber Schultz, Rachel Stottmann and Sam Tunget.

The student work featured in the exhibitions represents each of the Hite Art Institute’s studio areas including drawing, painting, photography, glass, sculpture, textile and performance installation. Each student’s collection is comprised of pieces that represent their unique vision and his or her readiness to enter the professional art world after graduation.

Opening receptions will be held for each exhibition. The Schneider Hall reception is 5 p.m., Thursday, April 23, at the Schneider Hall Galleries. The Cressman Center reception is 5 p.m., Friday, April 24, at the Cressman Center.

Erica Walsh is the marketing director for the Office of Communications and Marketing. Her job lets her share UofL’s good news in all avenues of communications including UofL Magazine, advertising, content marketing and branding. Walsh joined UofL in 2014 after previously serving as the public relations specialist at Indiana University Southeast. Prior to her career in higher education communications she was an award-winning newspaper reporter. Red is one of her favorite colors and it’s a good thing, too, because she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Western Kentucky University and her master’s in communication from UofL.
