UofL Alumni offers official pregame party, travel arrangements for bowl game

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville Alumni Association and Athletics are teaming up to offer fans traveling to the Music City Bowl plenty of opportunities for pregame fun.

    The University of Louisville will play in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl against Texas A&M Dec. 30, 7 p.m., Eastern Time, at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn.

    The official UofL Alumni Pregame Party, the only university sponsored party, will be at Hard Rock Café Nashville, 100 Broadway, Dec. 30, from 2-5 p.m., Central Time. Special guests include Denny Crum and Darrell Griffith. Entry is $40 per person and includes a full barbecue buffet featuring hickory smoked barbecue chicken and pulled pork, twisted mac and cheese, ranch beans, coleslaw and cornbread, non-alcoholic drinks and a cash bar.

    Fans can also take advantage of an overnight package through Anthony Travel, the official travel partner of UofL Athletics, to stay with the team at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Participants receive travel, hotel accommodations, tickets to the official pregame party and more. Go to www.UofLalumni.org/bowl to purchase.

    Fans can celebrate the season of giving with the Cooperative Community Service Project. UofL’s Division of Student Affairs will be working with the opponent and the city of Nashville on this bowl tradition. Students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and fans are encouraged to serve as volunteers at the Second Harvest Food Bank in Nashville. Work will include food sorting projects that help address the risk of hunger for children, families and seniors in the Middle Tennessee region.
