The film is about Rapunzel, a girl with long, magical hair, who has spent her entire life locked away in a tower. With the help of a friendly thief named Flynn, she escapes the tower and begins to explore the outside world.  

The film features the voices of singer and actress Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, the star of NBC’s Chuck.

The movie, which is free and open to the public, will be shown on the Natural Science lawn next to Grawemeyer Hall on a large inflatable screen. Entertainment before the movie will include inflatable rides, children’s activities and music by Heidi Howe.  

Sodexo, UofL’s dining services provider, will sell food and drinks. Patrons also may bring picnic baskets, coolers, lawn chairs and blankets.

Activities will begin at about 6:30 p.m. Tangled starts at dusk — about 9:20 p.m..

Parking for the event is available off of the Oval located on Third Street.

Toy Story 3, this summer’s final film, will be shown Aug. 5.
