The third film in the Toy Story franchise is about what happens when Andy’s long-loved toys are mistakenly delivered to a rambunctious daycare center instead of their owner’s attic when he leaves for college.
The film features the voices of actors Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, as toys Woody and Buzz Lightyear, respectively.
The movie, which is free and open to the public, will be shown on the Natural Science lawn next to Grawemeyer Hall on a large inflatable screen. Entertainment before the movie will include inflatable rides, children’s activities, hula hoop demonstrations, an electricity demonstration by LG&E, mascots, and music by local entertainer Leigh Ann Yost.
Sodexo, UofL’s dining services provider, will sell food and drinks. Patrons also may bring picnic baskets, coolers, lawn chairs and blankets.
Activities will begin at about 6:30 p.m. Toy Story 3 starts at dusk.
Parking for the event is available off of the Oval located on Third Street.
