The Student Activities Board is sponsoring the show.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The show with The Jayhawks and Rayland Baxter starts at noon.
The Jayhawks is a rock band from Minneapolis that first arrived on the music scene in the 1980s and has continued to tour nationally. The band has released several albums, including “Mockingbird Time” in September.
Rayland Baxter, a singer/songwriter from Nashville, will open “Live Lunch” with a few songs.
UofL students and employees can attend free of charge, but they will need their valid UofL IDs for entry. Several front-row tables are reserved for WFPK members.
Since 2009, SAB has partnered with the radio station to host a few “Live Lunch” broadcasts at the Red Barn each year. “Live Lunch” was at the Red Barn in September and will return in March and April.
“Live Lunch” is a live broadcast weekly concert at the WFPK studios on Fourth Street. The program features local acts or groups that are in town for performances later in the evening.
