Why did you choose UofL? The unique Brown Fellows program , opportunities for undergraduate research, and the variety of academic course options
What did your parents say when you told them you wanted to come here? They were happy to have me stay in town because I am the oldest and first to leave the house. They also were glad to know I’d be getting great opportunities that will help me in the future.
What do you plan to major in? I plan to double major in biology and Spanish with a minor in gender studies.
Is campus what you expected? I spent a lot of time on campus because I went to high school right across the street; however, when I was given an official tour, I learned that there was a lot to campus I didn’t know about — like the REACH facility.
What are you looking forward to at UofL? I am looking forward to getting involved in the Cardinal community by joining several of the organizations. I am thinking about becoming a part of GRASS, Campus Girl Scouts and a community service organization. I also cannot wait to start taking some of the unique courses offered.
What’s your biggest fear coming into college? I am afraid that I will spend too much time studying and working with the organizations I join and subsequently not have enough time for my personal hobbies.
What’s the best advice you’ve received about going to college? Someone once told me to keep my door open in the dorm so I can get to know everyone on my floor and throughout the building.
