LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The School of Music Opera Theatre at the University of Louisville will perform Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte”—or “All Women Are Like That”—at 8 p.m. March 30 and 2 p.m. April 2 at Bomhard Theater, The Kentucky Center, 501W. Main St.
Mike Ramach, director of “Cosi fan tutte” and co-director of the opera theatre, said the opera is one of only three works where Mozart collaborated with Lorenzo Da Ponte, who wrote the libretto, and is considered a “gold standard” of great opera.
“This comical masterpiece combines beautiful music with a classic story of young love and its vulnerabilities,” Ramach said. “The opera features a clever plot that was bracingly, politically incorrect, even in Mozart’s day.
