UofL program aims to help health care workers recognize, treat autism

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Health care professionals who work with children will benefit from a series of seminars offered by the University of Louisville’s Kentucky Autism Training Center to help them recognize, diagnose and treat those with autism and related disorders.

    “The programs are based on case studies—real-life scenarios—to help health care workers see what worked in the past,” said the center’s Assistant Director Rebecca Grau.

    The seminars, Autism Case Training: A Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Curriculum, are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and cost $25. Dates and locations are:

    Cindy Hess has more than 30 years of experience in communications, marketing and investor relations, including more than a decade at UofL. She is "sort of" retired but happy to come back to the Office of Communications and Marketing to help with special projects and assignments.
