LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville will mark the 44th anniversary of the George J. Howe Red Barn with a reunion concert July 5.
The event, featuring The Tymes Band, will be 8 p.m. at the Red Barn, Belknap Campus, next to the Swain Student Activities Center. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door to offset show costs and to benefit UofL students through scholarships and other programs.
The Red Barn was established in 1969 by a group of UofL students and administrators. Formerly a part of the Caldwell Tanks Inc., the building was renovated in 1978 and has become a multi-purpose facility serving students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community. In 2008 the Red Barn was named for George J. Howe, the building’s longtime coordinator.
The Red Barn 44th Year Reunion Concert is sponsored by the Red Barn Alumni Association and the Arts and Sciences Ambassador Program.
