LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Meditation can lead to improved health and wellness, creativity, compassion and empathy. It also can lead to organizational excellence and possibly a more peaceful world, says the organizer of a program on meditation Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at the University of Louisville.
UofL professor emeritus Pradeep Deshpande will illustrate how meditation can improve our personal lives as well as our community at a two-day program, “How to Transform Ourselves, Our University and the World,” from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Chao Auditorium in Ekstrom Library.
Deshpande will share scientific evidence of the power of meditation. The program will include demonstrations of the effects of meditation, including use of a device to measure the bio energy fields of several participants before and after the program. Deshpande says the bio energy field “is indicative of our physical, emotional and spiritual state. When our system goes out of balance, the bio energy field is the first to be affected…”
A meal will follow the programs.
