UofL events support ending violence against women

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville will participate in V-Day 2014, a global movement that seeks to end violence against women, with events and activities Feb. 3-8.

    Under the theme “VWEEK: Rising for Justice 2014,” UofL’s events are designed to draw attention to the one billion women globally who the United Nations says will be raped or beaten in their lifetimes. V-Day’s goal is to have one billion women and their supporters worldwide take a stand to end violence.

    V-Day events at UofL are organized by the Prevention, Education and Advocacy on Campus and in the Community (PEACC). Activities are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted and include:
