Get ready to giggle and guffaw at the second annual “Louisville Loves to Laugh” comedy show.
Billing itself as “a variety show of tomfoolery,” the performance will feature University of Louisville faculty and students and community members carrying out various feats of comedy at 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, at the Thrust Theatre, 2314 S. Floyd St.
The variety show will be a cabaret-style performance featuring stand-up, clowns, magic and more. Characters from the upcoming UofL Theatre Arts main stage show “Hint! A Masked Murder Mystery” also will be performing improv in mask.
Admission is $5 and all proceeds from the show will go to support UofL students traveling to Milan, Italy, this summer for The Fo Project.
The Fo Project is a multi-year endeavor in commedia dell’arte with participants from Italy, the U.S., Israel and Brazil. UofL students and faculty will take part in “Qu,” a world premiere play by Nobel Prize-winning Italian playwright Dario Fo that will debut at the International Expo in Milan.
