2015 has definitely been a good year for the Inscope Medical Solutions team based out of UofL’s Entrepreneurial MBA program.
InScope has dominated nearly every business plan competition they’ve entered, earning more than $425,000 in cash and prizes to develop and market OneScope, a one-of-a-kind wireless laryngoscope that provides medical personnel a clear view of every airway. The team’s latest conquest came Tuesday night, when they took home the $100,000 Vogt prize, funded by the Vogt Invention and Innovation Fund.
“The Inscope Medical Solutions team continues to make major progress bringing their innovative OneScope to the market,” UofL Entrepreneurship professor Van Clouse said. “The non-dilutive $100,000 Vogt Award provides critical financial resources to support Inscope’s progress.”
InScope CEO Maggie Nan Galloway says the team intends to put its new financial capital to good use.
“The $100,000 allows us to move forward in developing our first product and enables us to focus on FDA approval and the commercialization path,” Galloway said. “It opened up new opportunities for us here in Louisville on the manufacturing front and allows us to work on sales and distribution.”
