    Campus-Submitted Announcements

    From ULPD

1.) Phone scammers at it again

UofL Police are again warning of a phone scam apparently targeting students. Calls to cell phones appear to originate from (502) 574-7660 (Louisville Metro Police), and the callers claim to be either UofL police officers or Louisville police detectives. The caller then claims the students must send a “tax payment” to avoid arrest, expulsion from the university and cancellation of credit. Potential targets not familiar with U.S. police and the U.S. tax system may fall victim to fraud.

Additional Information: Call ULPD at (502) 852-6111.
