In conjunction with his exhibition “New American Landscapes” in Schneider Hall Galleries, Nate Larson will present a lecture in the Chao Auditorium. New American Landscapes is a series of color photographs taken while traveling. Struck by the patterns and easy repetition of travel and tourism, the photographs are meditations on the man-altered American landscape and seek an un-monumental understanding of the human experience within it.

To students, staff and faculty who have traveled to Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea or Nigeria recently or who are entering the university from one of these countries: In compliance with CDC and American College Health Association guidelines for university campuses, anyone who has traveled to one of the high-risk countries associated with the Ebola outbreak are directed to contact Campus Health Services at 852-6479 for a brief risk assessment. Have you signed up to be a bone marrow donor yet? Owen McMasters is a 15-year-old Trinity High School student from Louisville who is fighting leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant. You might be his match or you could be a match for the one of the thousands of other patients fighting blood cancer. The UofL Kosair Charities Pediatric Clinical Research Unit at Kosair Children’s Hospital is conducting a clinical research study to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics and efficacy of an investigational drug used to treat moderate to severe prolonged or persistent pain. Children 7 to less than 17 years of age who require continuous analgesia for moderate to severe pain for an extended period of time may be eligible for participation.
