The UofL community is invited to witness The Spectacular, a 3D visual extravaganza celebrating the $1 billion Charting Our Course campaign. The event will run from 6 p.m. to about 8:45 p.m., and includes a buffet dinner, family-friendly activities, concerts and a 3D visual presentation.
2.) UofL to unveil artists’ renderings of Belknap Campus research park

University of Louisville President James Ramsey and Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear will unveil artists’ renderings of the planned Belknap Engineering and Applied Sciences Research Park. A construction update also will be provided.

During November, Cards All In will present UofL Cares. Cards All In is proud to sponsor this annual campaign that allows employees to give directly to our community partners. Since 2006, UofL Cares has given over $2 million directly to our campus partners. This year, UofL is partnering with Community Health Charities, Fund for the Arts, Kosair Charities, Metro United Way and WHAS Crusade for Children. In the weeks leading up to UofL Cares, we will feature a spotlight on each of these charities in UofL Today.

13.) 2014 (Fall) Intramural Research Grants Deadline is October 13
The Office of the EVPRI is accepting applications for Intramural Research Grants. This internal research grant program aims to provide funds for projects for which the investigator intends to seek external funding. All grant categories are open to full-time faculty. Term faculty, one year or less, are ineligible for MRG, PCG, RIG, and URG grants.
