Sept. 14, noon to 1 p.m., (lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m.; presenters can stay until 1:30 p.m. for additional hands-on practice and support), Delphi Center, Ekstrom Library

Blackboard is so much more than a repository for course documents! Increase your grading efficiency during this one-hour D&D TECH session. This hands-on session will introduce you to some advanced features of Blackboard Grade Center that can make your life easier—before, during, and after the semester. Feel free to bring a laptop if you have one (we will have extras). Lunch is served so pre-registration is required.

Sept. 9, noon to 1 p.m., (lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m.), Delphi Center, Ekstrom Library

In this session, we’ll have an active discussion about what motivates us to learn and how our own experiences connect to what research says motivates learners. Identifying the reasons why our own motivation has increased or decreased for various activities helps us understand why our students enthusiastically engage in some tasks, but complain about or give up on others. A light lunch will be served.
