    2.) LGBT Center invites community to march in Pride Parade

    The LGBT Center invites the UofL community to march in the Kentuckiana Pride Parade this Friday night, June 17, and to demonstrate the university’s commitment to inclusion and support.  Meet the LGBT Center staff at the corner of Floyd and Market Streets at 6 p.m. The parade begins at 7 p.m. at Floyd and Market streets and concludes at 9 p.m. at the Belvedere on Main Street. Wear your UofL pride shirt or any other UofL gear to make sure the university’s presence and support is felt by all.

    Put on your red ruffle and join us this Sunday night at the Bard’s Cards – UofL Night at Shakespeare in the Park. As part of Will in the Ville, a city-wide celebration of all things Shakespeare, UofL College of Arts & Sciences faculty member Dr. Hristomir Stanev (Department of English) will give a special pre-show presentation on The Winter’s Tale. Pre-register and automatically be entered into a drawing for a UofL gift basket.

    Join Get Healthy Now for a 20-minute session to help you deepen your intuitive awareness. Vanessa Hurst, author of Engaging Compassion Through Intent and Action, will help you to identify, articulate, and integrate personal and collective wisdom into your life. The activity is 100-percent hands-on.

    7.) Mindfulness without the Woo Woo – KORU Basic on Belknap Campus

    Four Tuesdays, July 5, July 12, July 19, July 26, 12-1:15 p.m.; location TBD, Belknap campus; free for employees, spouses and QAs

    The course is designed to help you learn mindfulness through the practice of specific skills that calm and focus your mind and through the practice of meditation. If you are feeling pressured and stressed, or are just interested in learning a new skill that can enrich your life, these classes are for you. Beginners and experienced meditators welcome.
