    This market serves those who work at the Health Sciences Center campus, hospitals, and other area businesses, as well as those who live in the surrounding neighborhoods of Phoenix Hill, Smoketown, Shelby Park and Liberty Green.

    4.) Registration open for fall Project Management Certificate program

    Earn your project management certificate from UofL Professional Development. This two-seminar program is based on the processes and knowledge areas in the Project Management Institute’s “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge.” A limited number of spaces in the first and second seminar are available at a 25-percent discount for UofL employees.     5.) Teen Smoking Cessation Study

    The UofL Pediatric Clinical Trials Unit is conducting a clinical research study to evaluate how a medication can help adolescents (age 12-16) quit smoking. If a child qualifies to take part in this research study, he/she will receive study medication, smoking cessation counseling, and study-related care at no cost. Compensation for time and travel is available.

Quality Improvement.” They will discuss failed or less than optimal orthopaedic surgery cases identifying medical ethics issues, medical knowledge gaps, system based issues, communications issues, professionalism issues, and practice based system issues.
