    FACULTY AND STAFF NOTABLES

The Logistics and Distribution Institute’s graduate research assistant, Luis Cardona, has had a paper published titled, “Maximizing Space Utilization with Variable Slot Heights.” The goal is to highlight development of new models to help both private and public sectors cope with dramatic changes taking place in the logistics and distribution industry. For example, the paper proposes the use of racks with multiple slot types that accommodate better the varying pallet heights and maximize the loss of vertical space.
