DID YOU KNOW Dr. Terry Singer, former dean of the Kent School of Social Work, is donating some of his time this summer to provide yardwork for those who need labor. In exchange for the labor, he is asking those who benefited to make a donation to Kentucky Refugee Ministries. Singer has been involved with KRM for nearly two decades, including helping grow a social work practicum partnership between KRM and the Kent School.
FACULTY AND STAFF NOTABLES Mark Casey, Fort Knox program coordinator for the Department of Educational Leadership, Evaluation and Organizational Development, was elected to serve as a Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors for the Mid-South Association of College and Military Educators (ACME). ACME encourages educational institutions to be innovative and flexible in meeting the needs of military students while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

Miscellaneous Student Activities Center summer hoursThe Student Activities Center summer hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays. The SAC will be closed on most weekends. Also, the SAC will be closed July 1, 2 and 4, with limited hours on July 3, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Training and Workshops Training for Panopto, UofL’s new lecture capture systemUofL has selected a new lecture capture partner to replace Tegrity. Panopto allows you to create, edit and import video or lecture capture for your course. You can also embed video in Blackboard, live stream or capture video with mobile devices. Panopto is currently available for all users with a Ulink account. Learn the ins and outs of Panopto during a virtual training session (offered using Blackboard Collaborate), available online.
