DID YOU KNOW For the ninth consecutive year, UofL is a Sierra Club “Cool School.” The university came in at No. 51 in this year’s rankings of America’s greenest higher education institutions. UofL also continues to be the highest ranked “Cool School” in Kentucky.
FACULTY AND STAFF NOTABLES Ashley Triplett, a Library Specialist with Access and User Services in Ekstrom Library, was selected in a competitive process as an intern with Develop Louisville, a planning and land development unit within Louisville Metro government. She will examine city structures and the social, economic, and environmental sustainability issues that can develop within them. In addition, she will assist in research for developing a comprehensive plan for both the Floyd Fork and California neighborhoods. This internship will last through the fall semester.

Miscellaneous Fire alarm testing in SACOn Aug. 31 from 7-8 a.m., the fire alarm in the SAC will be tested on the west side. On Friday, September 1 from 8-8:10 a.m., fire alarm testing will be taking place. During this testing, the fire alarms will sound and strobe on both the West and East sides of the SAC.
