    Sustainability

Green Tip: Put more green in your holidays

The holidays are fun, but can be hard on the budget and the planet. Save money, resources and the environment this season with a few simple steps. Don’t make your office or lab work when you leave for the holidays: turn down thermostats, power down computers and equipment and unplug chargers, printers and appliances. Serve local, seasonal foods and less meat. Give unique, local gifts: Shop the UofL Farmers Market Holiday Bazaar today, 12-3 p.m. in the Red Barn, or the UofL Ceramics Sale Friday and Saturday.
