University of Louisville Physicians will be hosting a symposium on Parkinson’s disease designed for patients and their families. The UofL Physicians Parkinson’s Disease Spring Symposium will feature speakers from the interdisciplinary team at UofL Physicians – Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders who will provide an overview of new developments in Parkinson’s disease and treatment options, with a focus on neuromodulation therapies. The program also includes two breakout sessions and an “Ask the Experts” panel discussion.

Department of Ophthalmology, Kentucky Lions Eye Center, HSC
If you have macular degeneration and enjoy reading, you are invited to participate in a research study. The purpose of this study is to compare the readability of a newly developed font, Maxular, to Courier. Your commitment to the project would be one appointment that would last approximately one hour. Be the first to see Maxular and help shape the future of reading materials. Participants are compensated $25 for their time.

5.) Medieval and Renaissance Studies Symposium scheduled

The University of Louisville Medieval and Renaissance Research Group will host an international symposium, (Un)Expected Animals in (Un)Expected Places in the Middle Ages and Early Modern Period. Scholars from a wide range of fields will discuss animals in medieval and early modern art, literature, religion and science. The event is open to the public, but pre-registration is appreciated.
