Campus Housing is excited to welcome more than 2,000 first-year students moving into the residence halls on our two Move-In Days on Aug.16 and Aug. 17. Help get our new students settled into their new campus homes. All registered volunteers will be provided a free lunch.

3.) Research!Louisville 2016: Call for Abstracts
Due by Aug. 31; event is October 11-14 Kosair Charities Clinical and Translational Research Building, Health Sciences Center
Faculty, post-docs, research associates, residents, clinical fellows, research staff, PharmDs, graduate and professional students are invited to submit an abstract on their life science research for a poster presentation at Research!Louisville. Abstract submissions are due by August 31. Submit an abstract online.

Fridays, 12:40-1 p.m., Get Healthy Now Wellness Center at Humana Gym; Free for GHN Wellness Center members
This class will help prep your muscles for a workout, treat day-to-day stiffness, and loosen things up. Stretching and muscle release are the most overlooked component of injury prevention and muscle recovery.

6.) Who says fitness can’t be fun? Functional Fitness class offered
Saturdays, 9:30-10:15 a.m., Get Healthy Now Wellness Center, Humana Gym; Free for GHN Wellness Center members
This class focuses on fitness that can easily translate into daily activities and incorporates exercises that strengthen major muscle groups. You will get efficient functional movements that will enhance and nourish your spine, revitalize your postural muscles and strengthen your core with every movement. Exercises are shown at different skill levels so each person can work to their own individual competency.
