    1.) Reminder: You can import final grades from Blackboard to PeopleSoft

    Save time at the end of each semester by using the new grade import feature from Blackboard Grade Center. All standard letter grades can now be uploaded into the PeopleSoft Grade Roster (failing grades must be entered directly). Download the PDF instructions to use this new feature: http://uofl.me/uploadgrades2015.

    2.) Sustainability course now being offered

    3.) Are you ready to stop using tobacco for good?

    Jan. 8, noon to 1 p.m., Brown Cancer Center Resource Center

    Free, Public

    The Kentucky Cancer Program is sponsoring the Cooper/Clayton Method to Stop Smoking program. This is a free program that combines nicotine replacement therapy with behavior modification. This class will be held every Friday, beginning January 8, for 13 weeks. For more information or to register, contact KCP 502-852-6318.

    4.) PLAN’s Community Engagement Academy deadline approaching

    Dec. 11

    The Community Engagement Academy is being piloted in Spring 2016 as a semester-long series of sessions designed to help graduate students learn foundational information about community engagement and engaged scholarship. Additionally, participants will be able to apply this knowledge in practice through a partnership with The Parklands of Floyds Fork. Applications are available now at http://louisville.edu/graduate/plan/community-engagement-academy and the deadline is Friday, Dec. 11.

    Innovative Energy Harvesting Nanostructures, Their Assembly, and Performance Towards Multi-Junction Device Architecture: Dr. Hemali Rathnayake of the Department of Chemistry from Western Kentucky University will discuss novel energy harvesting nanostructures derived from organic polymeric systems, organic-inorganic hybrids, metal-organic hybrid systems and their application for multi-junction organic solar cells.
