DID YOU KNOW UofL is featured in the 2017 Princeton Review Guide to 375 Green Colleges. The eighth annual guide was released in September and profiles colleges with the most exceptional commitments to sustainability. It chooses colleges based on a “Green Rating” score from 60 to 99. UofL’s “Green Rating” was 93.
Faculty and staff notables Brandeis Law librarian Scott Campbell has published a compilation of Louis D. Brandeis quotations. “The Quotable Brandeis” is now available from Carolina Academic Press and includes more than 500 quotes from the Supreme Court justice, organized by category, as well as an index and sources.

It’s part of a new, first-of-its-kind certificate program being offered at UofL.

Health and Wellness Get Healthy Now inclement weather policyDuring the course of the year, the University of Louisville may decide to close campus or operate on a delayed schedule in cases of inclement weather. When UofL offices are closed, the Get Healthy Now Wellness Center will be closed as well. Regular hours of operation will begin when the closure is lifted.
The Get Healthy Now Wellness Center closed for Christmas and New Year’s HolidayThe GHN Wellness Center will be closed on December 21 and 22 for Deep Cleaning, and December 23– 25 for the holiday observance. We will be open on Tuesday, December 26-30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The GHN Wellness Center will be closed on Friday, December 31– January 1 for the holiday observance. Normal hours of operation will resume Tuesday, January 2, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Studies Participants for Prayer Study wantedResearchers at the University of Louisville and Penn State are looking for participants to complete a 45-minute survey on their private prayer behaviors and beliefs. Questions or concerns about the study can be directed to Dr. Stephanie Winkeljohn Black via email. The study has been approved by the IRBs at the University of Louisville (IRB # 16.1255) and Penn State. The survey is online.
