2.) IT Media Lab merges with Ekstrom Library Digital Media Suite
Information Technology, Delphi Center, REACH and University Libraries have collaborated to merge the IT Media Lab formerly housed in Strickler Hall with the Digital Media Suite located in Ekstrom Library. This change will improve access to media production capabilities by concentrating all of the equipment in a library facility offering longer hours and a more convenient location. Services were not interrupted by this move and continue to be available as published on the DMS web site.

3.) Green Tip: ‘UofL Loves Mountains’ workshop and bus to FrankfortWednesday
Feb. 12
Whether rallying in Frankfort or enjoying a free luncheon workshop on campus, Wednesday is your day to love mountains. UofL students will rally in Frankfort for “I Love Mountains Day” (bus departs from Planetarium at10:30 a.m., returns at 3 p.m.) and the Sustainability Council’s EcoReps program will continue its series of monthly workshops with free lunch atnoon in Student Activities Center Room W312, Feb. 12 – “Mountain-Top Removal Mining” with Professor Keith Mountain.

4.) Peace Corps to hold information session

Ken Gardner, founder and executive chairman of SOASTA, Inc., will share his insights on the ideal conditions for entrepreneurship in today’s business. A serial entrepreneur himself, Gardner is a graduate of the College of Business and the 2013 Entrepreneurship Circle of Fame inductee. Before starting SOASTA, a Silicon Valley-based software company, he founded five other successful technology firms. He also holds 12 patents.
