1.) Playhouse hosting ‘Vagina Monologues’

Opening night of UofL’s annual Vagina Monologues production is tonight at the Playhouse Theatre, 8 p.m. Performances will also be Friday, Feb. 7, and Saturday, Feb. 8. Don’t miss this unforgettable performance that celebrates women’s sexuality and strength. The Outstanding Employee Awards are designed to recognize up to five on-campus student employees based on the Student Affairs standard for employment, as well as outstanding performance and dedication to their work area. Recipients will be recognized at the Annual Student Awards program Thursday, April 17, at 7 p.m. in the Student Activities Center. Thomas Lang, MD, instructor, division of minimally invasive surgery, Department of ObGyn and Women’s Health, UofL School of Medicine, presents “Avoiding Complications in Operative Hysteroscopy.” He will discuss how to comprehend the basic energy, mechanical modalities, aspects involved in the safety and informed consent in operative hysteroscopy, as well as the classification systems for myomas and their hysteroscopic surgical indications.
