Three of the five princesses in the 2015 Kentucky Derby Festival Royal Court are UofL students. They are junior mechanical engineering major Kathryn (Katy) Ashby, freshman political science major Kyle Hornback and senior marketing major Sophie Knight. They will each receive a $2,000 scholarship and will act as ambassadors for the 2015 Kentucky Derby Festival, April 18 to May 1. Click here for more.

The Neuropsychology and Aging Lab of Dr. Benjamin Mast at the Psychological and Brain Sciences Department is investigating the association between musical training and cognition in adults aged 65 years and older. Participation takes about three hours and involves answering questions and completing cognitive tests. Participation can take place in the home or other place of convenience.

Medicine Grand Rounds features Mitchell A. Olman, MD, of the department of pathobiology at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Olman will present Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis: New Approaches and Challenges, focusing on understanding basic mechanisms, the evidence base for the new treatments of, and novel pathways in pulmonary fibrosis.
