Functional Fitness focuses on core fitness that can help improve the quality of your daily activities. The class incorporates all of the major muscle groups as well as the muscles you never knew you had. You will learn efficient, quality movements that will enhance and nourish your spine, revitalize your postural muscles, and strengthen your core. Exercises are shown at different skill levels so each person can work to their own individual competency.

Inventors and researchers partner with entrepreneurial mentors to develop a strategy to get innovative products to market. Awards are up to $2,500 per team. 9.) Biomedical Imaging/Cardiovascular Imaging Invited Seminar is Monday

Dr. Abbas Nasiraei of University of California, Los Angeles, and Amirkabir University of Technology will present a talk on latest signal processing advances for determination of cardiac function from polar tagged MRI of the heart for diagnosis of coronary artery disease. Bio: Dr. Nasiraei completed his Ph.D. in Bioengineeing at Caltech in 2005 in the area of Cardiovascular Imaging and Mechanics and subsequently took a research scientist staff position at UCLA and jointly with AKU.

The principles, barriers to treatment, key research findings, and methods for primary care clinician support of cognitive-behavior therapy for depression will be discussed.
