Anyone interested in the history of the Louisville and Nashville (L&N) railway can now go online to access the full run of the L&N employees’ magazine, held by the University of Louisville’s Archives and Special Collections (ASC). This collection joins more than 40 others comprising over 70,000 items in the University Libraries’ ever-growing Digital Collections

One of the most significant documentary photography projects is now becoming accessible online for all to view. Images from the Standard Oil (New Jersey) (SONJ) collection, held by the University of Louisville’s Archives and Special Collections (ASC) join the more than 40 collections comprising over 70,000 items in the University Libraries’ ever-growing Digital Collections.

7.) Bioengineering Department Seminar Series – Spring 2016
Dr. Enrico Rejc, PhD, will be presenting a seminar on Friday, Jan. 29, at noon in the Duthie Center for Engineering, Room 117. The title of the seminar is “Recovery of motor function for standing via lumbosacral spinal cord epidural stimulation and activity-based rehabilitation in chronic complete paraplegics.” Everyone is welcome to attend. 9.) Addressing Fundamental Challenges in Organic Photovoltaics – Chemical Engineering Seminar

Vikram Krishna Kuppa will discuss use of semiconducting polymer blends to enhance spectral coverage of solar cells. His work has focused on designing cells that go beyond conventional bulk heterojunctions, with the following features: 1) a high fraction of photoactive polymers in the cell; 2) efficiencies comparable or better than traditional devices; 3) 100-fold increase in transport coefficients.
