    1.) Belknap Farmers Market open today

    July 14, 3:30-6 p.m., 3rd Street and Brandeis Avenue

    Come check out the variety of products offered by 14 local farmers and vendors from Kentucky and Indiana. At today’s market we have: apple butter, creamed honey, cookie dough, spare ribs, salad mix, carrots, corn, eggplant, onions, stuffed pancakes, local tea, kettle corn, pink oyster mushrooms, lamb sausage, and much more.

    2.) Gray Street Farmers Market open today

    Thursdays through Oct. 27, rain or shine, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 400 block of East Gray Street

    Some items available today include: various baked goods; corn, blackberries, greens, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, beans, cucumbers, and onions; antibiotic and hormone free beef, chicken, pork, lamb, rabbit, bison, frog legs, duck, goat, and eggs; kettle corn, noodles,  maple syrup, jams, and pickled items; and all natural soaps, lotions, bug spray, and alcohol free hand sanitizer.     3.) UofL, American Red Cross hosting blood drive on campus

    July 20, 1-6 p.m., George J. Howe Red Barn

    In response to the Orlando tragedy last month, UofL, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, will host a blood drive July 20. Interested donors should register in advance and schedule their appointment time at redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code “UOFLPRIDE.” The blood drive is cosponsored by UofL Campus Housing, The UofL LGBT Center and The Bellamy, an affiliated housing complex. UofL employees who wish to make blood donations during the work day may use community service leave time.

    4.) After July 15, accept new UL wireless certificate

    On Friday, July 15 at approximately 10 p.m., IT will update UofL’s wireless security certificate. After this update, you will need to accept the new certificate the next time you log into the ULsecure wireless network on each of your wireless devices. The procedure taken depends on the operating system or type of device used. To see the steps necessary for your computer, smartphone or other wireless device, visit the new wireless certificate information page.

Dr. Resad Pasic from our Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Division will be discussing, “Gender Dysphoria.” He will help you appreciate treatment options for transgender patients, evaluate hormonal treatment for transgender patients and evaluate surgical options for transgender patients as well.

    This Friday, please join us for a pediatric grand rounds featuring Brooke Threlkeld, PsyD and Michael Sowell, MD, FAHS. Threlkeld is an Assistant Professor at the UofL Department of Pediatrics, Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry & Psychology and Sowell is a Professor of Neurology, Associate in Pediatrics, Director of the University of Louisville Comprehensive Headache Program, Director of the University of Louisville Child Neurology Residency Program and President of the Commonwealth Neurological Society. They will present, “Post Concussion Syndrome Evaluation and Management: An Interdisciplinary Approach.”
