IT IT to block outbound traffic classified as malware or phishingIn order to increase digital security on the university network for all UofL employees, Information Technology will begin to block outbound traffic classified as malware or phishing by our firewall intrusion detection system. This campus-wide change will be implemented during normal PM maintenance, Friday, July 7. Employees should not see any change in normal web or email use. However, if an individual on our university network, attempts a URL web address that carries malware or is attempting to steal credentials, they will instead get a webpage stating that the site has been blocked.
