    Sustainability

9.) Green Tip: We are smog. We are traffic. We are the solution.

You can be part of the solution to our air quality and traffic problems. This summer, try using TARC (free with UofL ID), carpooling, walking or biking. Those willing to stop driving to UofL can earn $400 through the Earn-A-Bike program (apply by Aug. 10). If you must drive, save gas & pollution by not idling your engine when stuck waiting more than 40 seconds. You can also battle smog by not using gas lawn mowers, which are often more polluting than cars.
