    Summer research projects are now being solicited from faculty to submit a biomedical summer research project for our medical students. The student’s stipend support and poster production costs are covered by the School of Medicine’s Summer Research Scholar Program (SRSP) and NIH training grants. To submit a project, visit

    Work your glutes, quads, hamstrings and calves in a 15-minute medley of movements, helping you train all of your supporting leg muscles for strong and lean looking legs. Class is welcome to all fitness levels, as modifications will be provided as needed.

    7.) May Delphi U 2016 applications due March 25

    A few spots remain for the May offering of Delphi U. Work with colleagues and team members from the Delphi Center to identify and implement best practices for online instruction.     8.) Workshop: Opportunities for collaborative materials research at UofL

    This workshop will present the specific materials research expertise in the Conn Center, opportunities for collaboration on proposals and grants with Conn Center scientists, and specific research expertise from Conn Center scientists in support of faculty proposals. Each theme leader will present a 10-minute overview of their research interests, followed by a reception where attendees can meet and discuss opportunities in greater detail.     12.) Engineering Summer camps now open for registration

    Prices vary

    We enhanced and expanded our camp offerings, changed start/end times, daily camp communication, and the overall experience. A new registration system will streamline the registration process. This summer we are offering 15 different camps to choose from ranging from building and flying drones to creating your own Minecraft characters and worlds. Every camper receives a t-shirt and a certificate of completion.

    14.) Event focuses on legacy of Paul Robeson and tools for today’s activists

    Focusing on the revolutionary legacy of Paul Robeson, Dr. Monteiro considers biographical, social scientific and philosophical sources to demonstrate Robeson’s unique intellect and to suggest the multiple threads of black existence that produced it. The ideas Robeson championed are once again becoming concrete in today’s struggles against police terror and mass incarceration. Robeson stands as a fighter against white supremacy and imperialism, providing an example for today’s youth.

    20.) Children 8 to 13 years needed for anxiety and worry study

    IRB #13.0923. Are you stressed? Is your child stressed, anxious, or worried? We can help. The UofL Developmental Psychopathology Lab is conducting a study examining the nature of worry and anxiety in parents and children. Parents and their children between the ages of 8 and 13 years are eligible to participate. Participants will be compensated $20 for their time and receive free diagnostic interviews, detailed feedback and a report outlining the results of our assessment.
