College of Business students in Christy Burge’s honors class last week collected 13 48-gallon bins of supplies such as soap and shampoo, as well as more than $1,600 in cash donations for the Louisville Rescue Mission, which serves Louisville’s homeless.

Kenny Klein, longtime Senior Associate Athletic Director and Sports Information Director at UofL, will be inducted into the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame as part of the 2017 class. Klein has worked in media operations for the NCAA at the men’s Final Four since 1985 and also worked for the PGA of America at PGA Championship and Ryder Cup events.

Tax season: Attestation and Disclosure Form (ADF) reminder
The tax season is a convenient time to review your current external interests disclosed to the university with your declared compensation to the IRS. In addition to the annual disclosure requirement, covered individuals must also update their Attestation and Disclosure Form (ADF) within 30 days of a change in their disclosures. For a list of the disclosing populations at UofL and/or additional information on the ADF, please visit the Conflict of Interest Program website.

The National Society of Black Engineers has been active at the University of Louisville since 1975 and was founded by Professor Brenda Hart. NSBE founded and adopted the Miss Black UofL Scholarship Pageant as a signature fundraising and cultural awareness event on campus. Miss Black UofL is a preliminary pageant for Miss Kentucky. On April 1, 2017, iRIS will “stop” IRB Initial Submissions that have personnel who are not showing current CITI Human Subjects Training in the iRIS system. Proof of training for the personnel must be submitted to the iRIS Help Desk. Submissions will not be routed to the IRB until the training has been updated in the iRIS system.
