Ashley Miller, 32, was awarded the Guy Stevenson Award for Excellence in Graduate Studies, the highest honor UofL gives to graduating doctoral students. She received her PhD from the School of Nursing last weekend. Miller was named Ms. Kentucky United States in 2013.

12.) Students head to Ireland for International Learning program
A group of 14 students from the College of Education will be traveling to Ireland between May 20 and June 1, 2016 as part of the International Learning program. They will focus on the education system in Ireland, and Art Therapy and Counseling. They will also make a presentation of Special Education in the U.S. to local teachers and administrators. The group is led by Drs. Eileen Estes and Oscar Aliaga and Mrs. Lynne Ernst.

13.) 19th Annual Estate Planning Institute offers CLE hours

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is proud to present Ramon B. Gustilo, MD, a renowned orthopaedic surgeon, philanthropist, and academic. Dr. Gustilo will lecture on The Axis Knee System – A Solution to Mechanical Axis Alignment and Femoral Rotation in TKA and Distalock – an innovative approach to Distal Locking of the Femur and Tibia Nailing.
