DID YOU KNOW UofL’s Turkey Trot is the oldest consecutively-run road race in Kentucky. Sponsored by the University of Louisville’s intramural sports department, the Turkey Trot first began in 1953. The race starts in the middle of campus and runs the campus perimeter. This year, 54 students participated.
FACULTY AND STAFF NOTABLES UofL Libraries Dean Robert E. Fox Jr. and Libraries Assistant Professor and Ekstrom Library Director Bruce Keisling recently presented at the Association of Research Libraries Assessment Conference in Arlington, Virginia. The title of their talk was “Advancing Campus Priorities Through Informed Space Re-Allocations.” Assistant Professor Maurini Strub and Libraries Associate Dean and Professor Melissa Laning delivered a paper at the same conference.

CCU to validate parking in Floyd visitor lotUofL Parking and Transportation has partnered with Commonwealth Credit Union to provide member parking in the Floyd Street garage visitor lot. CCU will validate parking at no charge to members needing to park for banking business purposes. The Floyd Street garage visitor lot is accessible from the north entrance of the garage nearest the SAC. CCU will begin validating parking immediately. Parking and Transportation will add spaces to visitor parking over the Thanksgiving holiday to accommodate CCU members.
Arts and Entertainment UofL to host annual ceramics sale Dec. 2-3Handcrafted ceramics by University of Louisville student and faculty artists will be available for purchase just in time for holiday shopping. The annual ceramics sale is 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fri., Dec. 2 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sat., Dec. 3 in the ceramics studio in the Studio Arts building, 2314 S. Floyd St. Proceeds from the sale benefit the UofL Hite Art Institute’s Ceramic Arts Organization and help fund free public workshops with visiting artists and student travel to art conferences. Health and Wellness The Get Healthy Now Wellness Center closed for Thanksgiving HolidayThe GHN Wellness Center will close early on Wednesday, November 23 at 2 p.m., and will be closed on Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25, in observance of Thanksgiving. Normal hours of operation will resume Saturday, November 26 (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
