The PeopleSoft HR Application will be undergoing extended maintenance today.To ensure it will be completed by the end of the normal PM period, it will begin at 8:00 p.m. today and is scheduled to be completed by tomorrow at 2:00 a.m. HRPROD will not be available during this extended PM. Please note that other systems (e.g. Blackboard, email, instant messaging, PeopleSoft, ULink, data services, etc.) may be taken offline during the PM window without notice.

6.) NEW – Preferred Name to be used on class and grade rosters
Beginning Sept. 8
Beginning Sept. 8, all class and grade rosters will display a student’s preferred name – if the student has requested the use of a preferred name. Students can add or change a preferred first and/or middle name by logging on to their ULink account (Students may not change their last name via this process). If you are using BlackBoard, please make sure to use the student ID number and last name to enter/view information as the first and middle name may not match the name in the student records system. BlackBoard administrators are investigating the process to change BlackBoard to preferred name in the near future. Changes will be announced.

The Office of the EVPRI is accepting applications for Intramural Research Grants. This internal research grant program aims to provide funds for projects for which the investigator intends to seek external funding. All grant categories are open to full-time faculty. 10.) Participants needed for a dental study
Dental School, Grad Periodontics Clinic

The School of Dentistry is conducting a study to find out what bacterial genes are active in the mouth at the start of gingivitis (reversible gum disease). The study will involve four to six visits to the dental school over four to six weeks, during which time you will refrain from oral hygiene in one half of your mouth. Visits will last from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Participants will receive compensation in the form of a gift card. IRB # 14.0230
