The University of Louisville College of Business is teaming up with WBNA’s “Dream Funders,” Louisville’s local “Shark Tank” style television series, for the show’s second season. The program will now include a UofL review panel that will provide “post-pitch” analysis of what the Dreamers did right and what they did wrong, as well as insights on what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.

Free flu shots start on the Belknap Campus Sept. 21 in Bigelow Hall. Flu shots are free to students, faculty, and staff ($5 for retirees). A full schedule and a consent form are available online. Download, print and complete the consent form for fastest service. You must have your UofL ID with you to get a free flu shot.

Carla F. Wallace, co-founder of Louisville Showing Up for Racial Justice, will speak on “White People Engaging White People to Achieve Racial Justice.” In this session, which is open to the public and people of all identities, Wallace will explore the vision of SURJ and how to engage white people in addressing racial injustice, noting that to achieve racial equity, white people must move away from active collusion and silent consent in racial injustice. UofL’s Free Store is open this fall every Wednesday 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. in the Unitas Tower basement (enter from driveway off Cardinal Blvd). All students and employees are welcome to “shop” for free clothing, shoes, household items, books, school and art supplies, non-perishable food, etc. Donations are now accepted any time in the new red bins outside the Store. Help us keep useful stuff out of the landfill while helping those in need. A volunteer-powered initiative of GRASS and UofL’s Sustainability Council.
