LOUISVILLE, Ky. – How can universities become more successful at launching start-up companies?
That’s the main question to be addressed at the 12th annual OVALS conference hosted by the University of Louisville Nov. 9-10. OVALS stands for the Ohio Valley Affiliates for Life Sciences and the organization’s members include 10 research universities in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana.
As universities become hubs for translating research into viable companies, competition for investor funding and partnerships with industry has increased. The conference is a way for faculty researchers and entrepreneurs from institutions in the Ohio Valley region to share their success stories and strategies.
