More than 100 students, staff and community members attended the first Celebration of Student Leadership April 2. The office also will feature them in “Profiles in Leadership,” a book it compiles annually that features outstanding students, and will display posters of them in the Student Activities Center.
CELS also honored two community groups and one UofL staff member for their commitment to helping the community and working with UofL students.
In addition, CELS gave red wagon-shaped pins to a total of 75 students who successfully completed its leadership training program. The office hopes the red wagon will become a symbol of student leadership.
