The 30-minute sessions will be held throughout the day Sept. 11 at the Get Healthy Now Wellness Center at Humana Gym, just east of the Belknap Campus.
And did we mention there will also be disco party? Since “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees has more than 100 beats per minute—the rate you should push on the chest during CPR—you will receive a ‘70s disco-style CPR bling necklace along with a CPR Anytime kit to share with your family so you can all know this important lifesaving skill.
Eighty percent of sudden cardiac arrests happen in private or residential settings. Statistically speaking, if you are called on to give CPR in an emergency, you will most likely be trying to save the life of someone you love: a spouse, a parent, a co-worker, a child or a friend.
