The chair of the task force, Donna Petersen, dean, College of Public Health, University of South Florida, will lead a discussion Monday, April 7 at noon in the Forum room at the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health & Wellness, 400 E. Gray St.
Peterson will share information about the progress of the group charged with rethinking the continuum of public health education from undergraduate through doctoral levels, and addressing new workforce needs.
“This is a great time for us to be a part of these national conversations as our school launches an undergraduate program this fall, and as we consider changes to our graduate programs,” said Craig Blakely, PhD, dean, University of Louisville School of Public Health and Information Sciences (SPHIS).
Later that evening, from 6 p.m. to 7p.m., the SPHIS Student Government Association will host a career panel at the school, 485 E. Gray St., room 103. The event is open to anyone interested in learning more about working in the profession.
