Physical Plant crews will be cutting the roadway to install an electrical cable to the HPES Building on the corner of Floyd and Warnock, said Larry Detherage, associate vice president for facilities.
Drivers still will be able to access campus via Warnock, he said.
Motorists also can use the entrance at the Speed School of Engineering and Eastern Parkway to enter and exit the south end of Belknap Campus. A temporary street south of the SGA ball fields connects Floyd Street with the Speed School parking lot.
The work is scheduled to run from March 15 to March 21, with both lanes on Warnock Street being open when classes resume March 22.
