LOUISVILLE, Ky. – More than 2,900 students are expected to graduate from the University of Louisville this semester and 1,750 will take part in commencement May 10 at the KFC Yum! Center.
To allow time for each graduate to cross the stage and receive a diploma, there will be two ceremonies: one at 10 a.m. and another at 2 p.m. UofL President James Ramsey will preside at both. The schedule is:
- 10 a.m. – College of Arts and Sciences, School of Dentistry, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, School of Medicine, School of Music, School of Nursing, School of Public Health and Information Sciences and School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies
- noon to 1:30 p.m. – Reception for all students and their families with Ramsey and other administrators
- 2 p.m. – College of Business, College of Education and Human Development, Kent School of Social Work and J. B. Speed School of Engineering
Student speakers will be Michael Rolf of the dental school for the 10 a.m. event and Carrie Mattingly of the business school for the 2 p.m. event.
Students and their guests should enter the KFC Yum! Center through the entrance on Main Street between Second and Third streets.
