The public event will be 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Brown and Williamson Club, Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Registration is available at www.uoflspadsummit.com. The fee includes lunch and is $25 for students, $30 for faculty and $35 for the general public. Seats are limited and early registration is recommended.

Hill is a well-recognized sports reporter who, along with Michael Smith, hosts ESPN2’s “Numbers Never Lie” and the podcast “His & Hers.”  A member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Hill is a Detroit native and graduate of Michigan State University.

The summit also will have panel discussions on sports communications and sports law. Local reporters Billy Reed, executive editor of Catholic Sports Network, and WDRB’s Eric Crawford will participate in the communications panel.

Forbes contributing writer and sports attorney Darren Heitner is scheduled to headline the law panel and will be joined by University of Toledo law professor Geoffrey Rapp. Topics will include the right of publicity and whether college athletes should be paid.
