LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville’s McConnell Center decided today to change the location of an Oct. 27 talk by Chief Justice of the United States John G. Roberts Jr. to permit a larger audience at the event.
Roberts’talk, originally scheduled to take place in Margaret Comstock Hall at UofL’s School of Music, will now take place in the Brown and Williamson Club at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, said Gary Gregg, director of the McConnell Center. The time of the talk, 10 a.m., remains the same.
The decision to move the talk was made after UofL received ticket requests from more than 1,000 people who wanted to hear Roberts speak. Comstock Hall holds only about 500 people, while the Brown and Williamson Club holds more than 1,000, he said.
The McConnell Center will continue to accept requests for tickets through tomorrow at www.louisville.edu/mcconnellcenter
