LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Lee Pennington, former Kentucky poet laureate, will give a reading in celebration of Poetry Month at 3 p.m., April 16, in the Bingham Poetry Room of Ekstrom Library.
Pennington has published 1,300 poems in 300 periodicals worldwide and is the author of several poetry collections. A native of Eastern Kentucky, Pennington has lifelong interests as folklorist and educator. He also is a published playwright, journalist and documentarian.
Admission to the event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
